I like Flash websites because there are all sorts of different ways to develop interactivity, but Flash has three main drawbacks:
1. It is not open source software.
2. Not easily indexed by search engines.
3. Can't bookmark pages.
4. Browser navigation buttons do not work.
I'm not an expert in web design, but think about the advantages and drawbacks of building a site in Flash. You may just need a couple of Flash elements.
