State Line Power Station in Hammond, Indiana; operated by Dominion Resources. The structure on the right side marks the border between Illinois and Indiana. Operations began in 1929 under ComEd, and while it is a National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark, it has also caught attention as being one of the major contributors of airborne pollution in the Chicago area.
